License-Exempt Provider Training Requirements Notices
Notices concerning training requirements for license-exempt providers participating in the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) were mailed with May billing certificates.
One notice was addressed to License-exempt Non-Relative Child Care Home Providers. This notice ONLY applies to non-relative home providers. This notice DOES NOT apply to providers who are related to all the children in their care that CCAP is paying for.
The other notice was addressed to License-exempt Child Care Center Providers. This notice ONLY applies to child care centers that have verified they are exempt from licensing requirements and being paid by CCAP.
Neither notice pertained to licensed providers. All licensed homes, group homes and centers should continue to meet current CCAP requirements through the licensing process.
Unfortunately, it was not possible to limit which providers received these notices. We apologize for any confusion if you received a notice that did not apply to you. IDHS is exploring better ways to communicate with our customers.
Please contact your local Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agency if you have any questions.
